Gestures, Looks, Words... Communications

Communication has been around since the beginning  of time. Whether it be by animals or humans, communications is dire to existence. For the human race, good communication is sought by employers, spouses, politicians, social media, and support groups. Communications isn't just by language. Hand gestures allow one to configure if someone is anywhere from angry to happy.  Facial expressions can grasp someone's attention. Also, have you ever seen a couple staring at each other? They can be telling each other how much they love one another, or how mad they are at each other. Words, though some may see as the most simplistic form of communication, are at times the most difficult. Finding the right words to express how you feel or to straighten out the cluster of thoughts scrambled in your head, can seem almost impossible. Fortunate to some, there are multiple ways to successfully convey ones thoughts or feelings. So find one that suits you best, or even, work with your weakest form and build it up so when a day comes you need to grasp an employer's or a lover's attention, you can successfully do so in many ways.

  1. Lindsey, thank you for posting! I really like your initial title! :) I even like the marble/ pink template but ;) ...try to make your blog unique. Think of hobbies, something about yourself that makes YOU YOU...and make your blog show that aspect of you off :) Be sure to check out (add all) and comment on a couple of other students' blogs as you are posting before next Thursday.

Make sure you let us know what pages were helpful while you were writing your business letter and how the rough draft of essay #1 goes, along with your perspective on tattoos before Thursday (with sections, book title, page #'s, etc... also)!

I enjoyed your discussion about communication being important to EVERYTHING. However, make sure you check out vocabulary carefully. Dire means- "causing or involving great fear or suffering; dreadful; terrible or urgent desperate." I think you meant something like pertinent :) We're all here to learn though and can always, always, always learn more to improve ourselves! This ties in well with your discussion: "work with your weakest form and build it up so when a day comes you need to grasp an employer's or a lover's attention, you can successfully do so in many ways" (Wiseman). We can all work at our weakest THING in life or even a strength to make it better!
